Beautifully bound and illustrated, the author, Master A. Per Lee Plumb identifies himself as a 12 year old living in Paris and dedicates his book to his friends living in America. Ownership on verso of the ffep, is “Mrs. Stephen C. Toof”, perhaps referring to the wife of Stephen Toof, founder of the S.C. Toof & Company printing business founded in Memphis in 1864.
