The Almanac monthly calendar was published for women of social standing. Illustrated with engravings, some with hand-coloring. Both men and women’s fashions of the day are featured, a listing of royal birthdays and a long selection of poetry, followed by an index. A compact sized mirror is featured on the front pastedown. This would have been a luxury item and one of status to carry in one's pocket or purse.
