Small religious and moral chapbook containing rhyming verse and blurbs. Wonderful delicate vignettes illustrate each page. The American Tract Society was founded in New York in 1825, in a merger of the New York Religious Tract Society and the New England Religious Tract Society, as a non-sectarian Christian religious printer and disseminator of tracts and other religious material. Much of their early 19th century focus was on children.
