It includes moon phases, astrological signs; pages for memoranda with a few notes in neat ink and pencil; listing of the 25 states, city and state government, schools; events of 1839, history of 200 years past and bios of prominent men; listing of Boston fires in 1839 and the Fire Department; streets and avenues, railroads, wharves, courts, insurance offices, newspapers, courts, banks, custom and public houses, public buildings, societies and institutions; Massachusetts towns and reservoirs; lists of physicians, nurses, undertakers, coroners, sheriffs, constables, churches and ministers; English money exchange rates; table of contents at the rear. Eighteen pages of advertisements follow the general information.
