Multiple artists contributed to the work and each plate states the artist’s name. The engraver’s name is also stated on each plate and include such British notables as Edward F. and William Finden, John Cousens, and William Radcliffe [Radclyffe]. The text explains the origins of the site’s name, the Biblical reference, the site’s importance and place in history. An interesting and important account of Biblical locales, the ancient world, and the Middle East.
