A children’s monthly periodical published by the T.S. [Timothy Shay] Arthur & Son company beginning in 1867. The monthly featured stories, poems, and moral lessons for young readers.

Timothy Shay (1809-1885) was a writer, publisher, and temperance champion. His writing included books on the family and household, temperance, and novels. He published the literary magazine Arthur’s Magazine until it merged with Godey’s Lady Book in 1846.
