Included in this title are seven stories, five told in rhyming verse, many with moralistic or religious overtones. A charming poem titled “Visiting” begins with “‘Good morning, Monday! / Tell me, how is Tuesday?’ / ‘Very well Dame Wednesday. / Please to tell Miss Thursday, / To bring Master Friday, / Also little Saturday, / To call on Mister Sunday.’” Four bright chromolithographed plates illustrate the stories.
