An attractive advertising premium for Kingsford starch products, Oswego Pure and Silver Gloss Starch for the Laundry and Oswego Corn Starch for Puddings, Blanc-Mange, Cake, Etc. The small book contains a collection of short stories, poems, a song with music, with photo-engraved illustrations throughout. A version of “The Three Bears” and Silver-Locks, with bears that are named Mr. Bruin, Mammy Muff, and Tiny are included.
Many of the engraved illustrations are signed “Crosscup & West, Phila.,” “B. Fleming” and “Lauderbach,” A testimonial on the rear wrapper from Arthur H. Hassall, M.D. as well as the seller, E.C. Chapin, Agent, 146 Duane Street, New York. This version appears to be different than the one at AAS.
