This is a collection of nursery songs all illustrated with dreamy pictures of children and anthropomorphic animals. Henriette Willebeek Le Mair (1889-1966) was a Dutch watercolor artist whose career began in her teens, she later studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Art. Her drawings are often bordered by a wreath to set the art off from the page.
