The signature on the cards is printed in capital letters, the first letter appears to be an “F,” making the signed name “FUNNU,” which translates to “FUNNY.” All are dated “-40” for 1940. The eight original, unused postcards, all with pen and ink cartooning on the blank side, depict Finnish military personnel. Drawn during the Winter War, also known as the First Soviet-Finnish War, due to the invasion of Finland by the Soviets on November 30, 1939.
