This small religious almanac from the Methodist Episcopal Church would have been given as a gift booklet from a Sunday school class. Filled with stories, poems, moralistic teachings, short blurbs, word pictures, “Acrostical Enigmas,” anagrams, and religious lessons many of them dealing with death.

Some of the wood-engraved illustrations are signed with the names Felter, Avery and Whitney.
