A lovely book of Kate Greenaway’s illustrations that were sent to friends but not previously published. Greenaway (1846-1901) was a beloved British artist whose tender drawings of children at play recalled an early time. Typically dressing the illustrated children in Regency or 18th century fashions, she used soft pastels to invoke a dreamlike scene. Unusual in the scarce dust jacket.
