This wonderful tourist souvenir brochure begins with a one-page introduction to Newfoundland, followed by 30 pages of photographic illustrations with titles. Included are interesting photographic scenes of harbors with schooners, icebergs, important buildings and landmarks, scenes of people camping and on dog sleds, the H.M.S Brilliant, the sternwheeler S.S. Strathcona by an iceberg, and “Esquimaux” children.
The publication is dated based on the inclusion of the Power House at Petty Harbor, which began operation in 1900, and the cessation of the S.S. Strathcona in 1902, when she blew a cylinder.
