Small 4to oblong (9”x 10 ½”); 6 leaves; stiff brightly colored pictorial wrapper features animals around an artist easel on the front, the rear wrapper pictures animals displaying their drawings and the name “A.W. Nugent”; 2 staple binding; the 6 leaves feature a waxed black surface suitable for drawing on with chalk and washing off, simple figures on one side face a solid black surface; light creasing to wrapper, chipping to edges, ½” split at head of spine fold, top staple starting to pull from wrapper; very good. Not recorded.

An unused or lightly used child’s activity drawing book. Simple pictures face a blank page where a child could draw with chalk and erase with a damp cloth.

A.W. Nugent (1891-1975) was an illustrator and cartoonist for Dell, DC Comics, Harvey Comics, Lev Gleason, Columbia, Marvel Comics, and others. He also was a self-published cartoonist who wrote Cavalier Comics and Circus of Fun Comics. Item #2112
