One of the children’s books authored by Isabel Weld Anderson, nee Perkins (1876-1948). She was a Boston heiress, philanthropist, and author. Widely traveled during her privileged youth and later with her husband, Larz Anderson, who served in various diplomatic posts, including as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan. The author is known for her books on travel, poetry, and those for children.
