It appears this is variant B noted in BAL 3537, although it is difficult to visualize the gatherings because of the head and foot bands. This copy not in original blue publisher's cloth, custom bound in half red leather over red cloth, 5 raised bands with gilt framing and the title and date stamped; top edges gilt; Vol. I has green textured endpapers, Vol. II has brown textured endpapers; frontispiece with printed tissue guards; light rubbing to edges, some age toning of paper; near fine.
