Berry was a native Mainer, educated as an engineer, and worked in commercial art in NYC, and interior architect in Chicago. He was involved in the work of the Panama Canal. During the Depression, he and his wife moved back to Maine, first to Wiscasset, then after WWII to Rockport. Working from his 3 story building over looking THE Rockport, Maine harbor, Berry worked as a printmaker employing woodcuts, wood engraving and linoleum block. [Dearborn].
